Detailed as Assistant Station S-3 Officer (Primary) per AAF Station 106 Special Orders #76 dated 23 April 1944. Relieved from assignment as Assistant Station S-3 Officer (Primary) per AAF Station 106 Special Orders #77 dated 25 April 1944. Initially assigned to HQ Detachment 384th BG, Major Parks was transferred to the 545th BS on 25 April 1944, to assume command when the acting CO, Captain Langlois, was MIA on the 24 April mission to Oberpfaffenhofen. Placed on seven days Temporary Duty to 8th Air Force Officers Ret Home, Stanbridge Earls, Hampshire (a Flak House) on 4 July 1944 per AAF Station 106 Special Orders #126 dated 1 July 1944.
