Non-combat sortie 		Pilot 42‑75614⇗ On a flight to Guernsey Island in a P-47 to investigate the crash of a B-17 two days earlier, pilot encountered difficulty braking on the wet grass runway. He intentionally ground-looped the aircraft to avoid hitting workers on the ground. There were no injuries to the pilot or ground personnel.
