The Pulcipher Crew joined the 547th BS at Wendover on 1 February 1943. Some time after 11 March, and prior to 17 May 1943, copilot Horace E 'Ev' Frink was given command of the LeFevre Crew, for unknown reasons, and Frink was replaced by Merle Johnson.
