Equipment Difficulties: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) flew as the 'second' Group (30 seconds behind the 303rd BG) of the 41st A Combat Bombardment Wing on today's morning mission. The first bomb run was started as a PFF run, but the target became clearly visible, causing the crew to switch to visual aiming. In that process, the AFCE went out, necessitating a second try. On the second bomb run, the target could not be picked up visually, nor could any other briefed target be seen. Finally, a gun emplacement in the area was seen and attacked. |
