Big "B" And Bad Weather: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) flew two groups today, the lead and low groups of the 41st B Combat Bombardment Wing. Weather at the primary target required use of PFF aiming. The lead ship PFF set failed on the bomb run, so the wing deputy was ordered to take over, which was successfully accomplished. Bombs were away on the primary target with unobserved results. After bombs-away, the low group became separated from the wing, and eventually joined a wing led by the 94th BG for the return to England. |
