Moved to West Palm Beach [Morrison Army Air Field], Florida on 14 December 1942. Assigned to the 367th Bombardment Squadron, squadron code GY-Y and then to the 368th Bombardment Squadron, 306th Bombardment Group at Thurleigh, Station 111, UK on 2 February 1943. The ship was in a taxi accident with Pilot Dick O'Hara on 20 April 1943. Transferred to the 544th Bombardment Squadron, squadron code SU-A, 384th Bombardment Group at Grafton Underwood, Station 106 on 23 August 1943.
