Moved to Gore Field, Great Falls, Montana on 7 March 1943; Smoky Hill Army Airfield, Kansas on 14 March 1943; Morrison Field, Florida on 9 April 1943. Ferried overseas and assigned to the 335th Bombardment Squadron, squadron code QE-L, 95th Bombardment Group, station 102, Alconbury, UK on 17 May 1943; flew 4 missions then transferred to the 422nd Bombardment Squadron, squadron code JJ-E/J, 305th Bombardment Group, station 105, Chelveston on 17 June 1943. Transferred to the 546th bombardment squadron, squadron code BK-H, 384th Bombardment Group, station 106, Grafton Underwood on 7 October 1943.
