Moved to Homestead Army Airfield, Florida on 1 February 1943, then to Morrison Field, Florida on 9 February 1943 Assigned to the 366th Bombardment Squadron, squadron code KY*O, 305th Bombardment Group at Station 105, Chelveston, UK on 10 February 1943. Transferred to the 547th Bombardment Squadron, squadron code SO*S, 384th bombardment Group, Station 106, Grafton Underwood on 20 September 1943. The aircraft received battle damage on a mission to Munster with Pilot-William E. Kopf, Copilot-Alfred W. Scott Jr., Navigator-Toscha M. Massey, Bombardier-Eugene Warren Connor, Engineer/Top Turret Gunner-Kenneth G.
