Challenging Weather: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) led the 41st B Combat Bombardment Wing on today's mission. Takeoff time was delayed but the route timetable was not changed. That change, and a snowstorm, prevented any semblance of assembly of the bomber stream. Nonetheless, most aircraft flew the mission, bombing the primary target visually, even though it was partly obscured by clouds. On return, all aircraft landed at other bases due to the snowstorm, which had not abated. |
