Tactical Support: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) flew as the 41st Combat Wing C group on today's mission. As the city of St Vith was a German strong point, the assigned Gee-H aimpoint was the center of the city. The low squadron released bombs with the lead squadron, but the high squadron, having to aim independently, did not bomb because their Gee-H equipment failed on the bomb run. |
