Landed In Allied Territory Comments: Last observed over France with many holes in his gas tank; presumably landed in allied territory; returned to base later. According to the Pilot's personal account, the fuel valves were frozen and the Engineer could not transfer fuel as needed. Therefore, they landed at Brussels, Belgium - 'Put the ship down in 'Tokious,' Brussels' - and spent 3 days in a hotel there before returning to base. |
