More Oil Pressure: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) provided all three groups of the 41st A Combat Bombardment Wing on today's mission. Weather at the target was not ideal, but the lead and low groups were able to drop accurately. The high group was not able to bomb the primary, so continued on to locate targets of opportunity. However, weather and air traffic conflicts prevented them from attacking, so they went on to the coast in search of some enemy shipping that had been reported. Eventually, nothing was spotted and they brought their bombs home. |
