| Tactical Support: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) provided all three groups of the 41st A Combat Bombardment Wing on today's mission. Although the visibility in the target area was reasonably good - the lead and low groups bombed on the first run - the high group bombardier was unable to sight the target until too late to bomb. A second run was unsuccessful because the target was obscured by smoke from prior bombing. The high group then proceeded to attack the briefed secondary target with good results. | |||
