Target Near Le Bourget: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) provided all three groups of the 41st A Combat Bombardment Wing on today's mission. The target combined two strategic objectives in one: the Luftwaffe and their fuel supply. Unfortunately, none of the bombs came near the target, with the lead and low groups dropping their bombs several miles to the east of it, and the high group attacking facilities at Chateaudun Airfield after being unable to sight the primary target. |
