| V-Weapon Depot Attacked: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) flew two group-size formations on today's mission. There was no wing formation specified: the group commanded by Col. Buck was identified as the 41st Combat Wing A Section, and the group commanded by Maj. Stallings was the B section. The target area was somewhat obscured by low clouds, requiring the bombardiers to use Gee-H aiming. The A section dropped on the first bomb run, but trouble with the Gee-H equipment forced the B group to make a second bomb run which concluded successfully. | |||
