| Airfield Attacked: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) flew three groups to form the 41st A Combat Bombardment Wing, leading three Combat Wings on today's mission. The weather in the target area was CAVU and the primary target, an enemy airfield, was clearly visible. A visual bomb run was made, with good results. Colonel Smith led the mission, and recommended that for such targets, greater effectiveness could be achieved by assigning each group a different aiming point, and to slow down the release of the bombs slightly to spread the damage over a greater area. | |||
