Some Bombs On Target: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) flew as the 41st Bomb Wing C Group on today's mission. Ordered to bomb targets by visual means only, the crews had mixed results. The low squadron dropped on the first run, and returned to base with another group. The lead and high squadrons made two runs, with the lead squadron dropping on the second run. However, the high group was cut off by another squadron and could not bomb. Although they spotted several airfields in the clear on the way back to base, none were found within the permitted attack zone, so all bombs were returned to base. |
