Primary Target Attacked: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) flew as the 41st CBW B Wing on today's mission. The bomb run was started using PFF guidance, but clearing clouds near the target enabled the bombardier to complete the bomb run using visual sighting. The lead and high groups dropped on the first run. The low group had to make a second run because they had to maneuver out from under the high group. On their second run, made using PFF, the equipment failed, and they dropped on the wing lead's smoke marker. |
