Weather Prevents Attack: The 384th Bombardment Group (H) led the 41st Combat Wing, the first of the two combat wings comprising Air Task Force 1, on today's mission. Clouds were encountered during the mission until they became impenetrable about 75 miles from the target, at which point the attack was abandoned. Although no attack was accomplished, due to the penetration of enemy air space the groups involved received combat credit. |
