History: | 42-30073 Delivered to Denver, Colorado on 6 April 1943; Sioux City, Iowa on 14 April 1943; Kearney, Nebraska on 4 May 1943; Dow Field, Maine on 25 May 1943. Assigned to the 544th Bombardment Squadron, squadron code SO-E, 384th Bombardment Group, station 106, Grafton Underwood, UK on 29 May 1943. The aircraft flew one combat mission with the 384th Bombardment Group before being transferred to Andrews Field (Great Sailing AAF-458) then to the 413th Bombardment Squadron, squadron code MZ-U, 96th Bombardment Group, station 138, Snetterton Heath on 6 July 1943; then to the 339th Bombardment Squadron, squadron code QJ-U.
